Will AI replace humans?

In response to Harris Blumenthal’s stories, “AI will not fully replace Humans”, I disagree with his opinion.

Yes, Harris is not wrong, AI would never fully replace 100% of the human population, someone would always outsmart the AI and survives. However, about 80% or more of the total population would be replaced by AI. The AI would first replace labor work workers, then they would replace fast-food workers, and it goes on and on.

Why? If you understand how fast AI’s knowledge grows, then you would understand why. In the past decade, AI has improved at an exponential speed. Compare to a human brain’s learning speed, AI would always learn faster than a human brain.

According to TechCrunch’s news, Google’s AI already beat Go, chess champions a few times. Chess requires complex thinking. If not even the chest champion can beat the AI, then what can? The only thing AI is weak at currently is its emotions. But shortly that problem will be solved, and by then AI will out scale humans by a great amount.

Does that mean we should be afraid of them?

Yes, we should, we really should. Despite all the predictions and fear of AI taking over, we insist to make them better machines. Although I can understand that everyone has already come too far to back off, so I see AI from another perspective. Instead of making them future enemies, why don’t we make them future allies?

The human brain and AI symbiosis

It might be a crazy idea, but by becoming “one” with the AI, it would mean that they can’t get rid of us. But instead, they would have to carry us to reach further into space, and deeper down into the oceans. Instead of spending years learning different types of knowledge, we will be able to get all this information in an instant. With the extra time, we can use them to look for things we weren’t able to look at. It would promise us a more stable and secure future.

Neuralink

Neuralink is a company that is owned by Elon Musk that primarily focuses on inventing the brain chip. A brain chip is a chip that is installed in your head and will allow you to communicate with machines. Which is our closest shot at achieving symbiosis with AI.

Conclusion:

In my opinion, it would only be a matter of time AI would take over and ditch us in the dirt. We should start considering how to become one with AI. If we can pull this off, with the learning speed of AI, our future would be full of possibilities.
